Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability and also helps to reduce the risk of injury or illness in the future.

The Physiotherapy unit at IMaH uses a holistic approach in caring for our clients. Our dedicated, well trained and result oriented Physiotherapists will help you work through physical rehabilitation and well-being, injury prevention and general fitness. Facilities available include an ultra-modern Gymnasium, Electro therapy area, Thermo therapy area, comfortable Examination room, Treatment rooms as well as a Pediatric area to ensure that your needs are met.

Our Physiotherapists are specialized in the following:
1. Prevention of injury and disability
2. Management of acute and chronic pains
3. Improvement and maintenance of optimal physical performance 
4. Rehabilitation of injury and effects of disease or disability 
5. Education of clients to prevent re-occurrence of an injury

Some of the common health conditions treated at our unit include; Cancer (palliative care and lymphoedema), Incontinence and pelvic floor muscles dysfunction, Women’s health concerns (addressing health issues surrounding pregnancy, birth, menopause, bed wetting, prolapses and loss of bladder or bowel control), Musculoskeletal conditions such as back pains, Neurological (patients who have had severe brain or spinal cord damage from trauma or neurological diseases such as stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis), Acute or chronic Orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis, amputations etc. , Pre and post-surgical interventions (strengthening of muscles before surgeries and rehabilitating of patients post surgeries such as laminectomies, mastectomies etc ), Somatic Pain, Pediatrics (assisting babies and children with conditions such as erb’s palsy, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, torticollis, clubbed foot etc.), Sports injuries (treating and rehabilitating athletes pre and post injuries) and Geriatrics (rehabilitating the elderly after suffering some geriatric conditions such as osteoarthritis).

The physiotherapy unit is well equipped with state of the arts machines to help relieve pain, improve strength, restore function and ensure clients general well-being.

We are open to the general public. Clients can walk in on their own accord or with referrals.
