The Biomedical/Clinical Engineering unit plays an important role in the hospital beginning from procurement process and facilitates effective management of medical devices used in health care. It increases the life cycle of medical devices, optimizes spare parts and technical services ‘costs of medical devices in order to improve the qualities of health care

The Biomedical/Clinical engineering unit is committed to maintaining a system capable of providing the ‘right’ equipment at the ‘right’ time for the ‘right’ application at a conducive environ in the hospital.

This is;

• To ensure that the medical devices installed in the hospital will be state- of –the-art, safe, reliable and available at all times whenever in need.
• To provide engineering services (technical expertise) and management skills required to support medical equipment systems and technology used to deliver clinical services to advance patients care in the hospital.
• Develop policies and operational plans for the department
